People read my articles and figure that I'm either a Christian who has lost his way, a Satanist who hates God or just another Atheist who does not believe in God-never mind that they have already read as to what my spiritual theories are.
Since you think you are free to think what you want, go ahead and try. I could give two shits of corpse's ass what anyone thinks regarding my so-called faith. However, this being Holy Week, it's time play the game of summarizing the next 168 hours and how they compare to modern times.
This being Palm Sunday, Jesus rides into Jerusalem as the conquering hero; a man of the People. It is as if he were some Socialist Crusader who had come to town in order to free the masses from the Romans-which is probably what many who were in the crowd that day actually believed. After all, some had witnessed one of His miracles, while others had only heard of them.
The Romans had a sense of religious freedom-of sorts. They didn't care which god you worshiped-just as long as you paid tribute to theirs, as well. Since the vast majority of Jews refused to play Caesar's game, they were targets of slave raids and other Roman attacks. Some found themselves in an amphitheater staring at a hungry lion while others were nailed to a cross and left exposed to the elements for several days (which is how long a crucifixion usually took!) before they breathed their last.
They were fucked, either way-and sometimes it came to that, as well.
While the Romans had heard of this carpenter from Galilee, they did not really see him as much of a real threat. He was no Barabbas. They just figured Jesus to be some wacko who had stayed out in the sun too long. It was the Sanhedrin who had been plotting to kill Him ever since He declared Himself to be equal with God the Father, three years before.
Hath thou forgotten Luke 4:21-30? Yea, when they sought to smite Him?
Moving on, what is the first thing Christ does which angers the Pharisees and Sadducees? As if relations between them weren't bad enough, Jesus goes out and turns every table in the Temple over because of the profits being made in His Father's House (Matthew 21:12-13); then the "Fucker" has the gall to declare that God the Father gave Him the authority to heal those with disabilities for free (once a Republican idea, now championed by Democrats) and to shower affection onto children (Matthew 21:16).
Let's see. The Republicans in the House want to repeal the health care law, cut billions from education and doesn't want the rich to pay their fair share in taxes. That's funny, because Jesus told us in Matthew 22:18-21 that we are all supposed to pay taxes. In addition, He forever separated Church from State by declaring that what is Caesar's is Caesar's and what is God's is God's.
Hell! Even He paid His taxes! Remember that pearl which was in the fish?
Hm. Who uses God and Guns in their propaganda? Yeah, that's what I thought. It can't possibly be Democrats like me. We don't believe in God. Remember?
Republicans have occupied the White House for 28 of the 42 years since the 1968 election. What has happened?
Our once stellar system of education has become the laughing stock of the world because Republicans like Reagan and the Bushes refused to fund it properly.
Gee! Who's going to build all those wonderful toys that the Pentagon wants? China?! Since even the Pentagon is willing to accept budget cuts, what crawled up and died up Boehner's ass? What a great idea to cut education-especially during a time when all of our engineers (like my father-in-law!) are retiring!
Americans had the longest life span and now we don't rank anywhere near the top! Since the One whom you worship healed people for free, why don't you believe in the public option?
Nearly all of our recessions since the 1968 election have been tied to the price oil, and yet Republicans refuse to reward innovation and reward greed instead-all while they walk hand-in-hand with Saudi royalty. Would that not be much like Herod's relationship with Rome-which explained why the Jews hated him so much?
Americans hate oil companies-and Dick Cheney. George W. Bush wound up the among the least popular of White House occupants. While conservatives immediately shout the name Jimmy Carter, it would be wise of them to remember that even Carter received 41% of the vote in his loss to Ronald Reagan.
Half of the story is that the status quo murdered the Hero, whom you believe rose again three days later. What do those on the right believe will happen to America as they continue to lie about the President of the United States while they attempt to stall his plans for America's revival?
Other industrial powers have begun the process of weening themselves off of oil. Why hasn't the United States?
In a time when Americans are paying more at the pump and in a time when we have a leader who has ideas on how to get us off of that Arab drug, why such opposition?
Oh! I see! The oil companies contribute millions of dollars more to Republican candidates than they do to Democratic candidates! To make matters worse, this guy wants every American to have an ability to go to a doctor without financing their future in the process! Some nerve! No wonder why the modern-day Sanhedrin wants to crucify Obama-even if they have to lie in order to do it.
Then again, the Republican Party has become a haven for liars, fear mongers and extortionists. Just when Americans have found their saviour, we can count on these little devils to kneecap him in much the same way that Lucifer tried to get Jesus to walk away from His mission.
All of this from someone composes black metal before he goes to sleep in the middle of the day.
May I leave ye with this word of warning-that ye crucify the American Christ at thy peril. Look at what happened to those who crucified the other Christ and consider carefully before heeding the enemy's propaganda. For just as Christ saved those who sinned against His Father, President Obama seeks to redeem a nation which had been wandering in a wilderness of her own making for forty years.
For if ye choose to reject the American Christ, thy children might be slaves for ten generations.
Sound familiar? It's just something to think about during Holy Week.
Have a good one.
